About Skin Gut Fix

I spent my entire twenties treating my skin like a debugging project. Every cleanser was a variable to isolate. Two rounds of prescription retinol, a serum phase that ran into hundreds of dollars. The approach was methodical. It took years to realize I was running tests on the wrong system entirely.

At 35, a bad breakout before a client rebrand presentation was the one that finally broke through. My naturopath friend Callie mentioned the gut-skin connection over tacos in the Pearl District like it was mild lunchtime information. Three years of weekly skin photos later, I have a much more complicated opinion about that brunch.

Skin Gut Fix is where I track what I have actually tried: probiotic supplements, prebiotic timing experiments, and what showed up (or did not) in my weekly chin close-ups. Not a nutritionist, not a dermatologist. A graphic designer who kept a spreadsheet from day one and now has 156 rows she takes more seriously than any single dermatologist recommendation she has ever received.
